First 5 San Luis Obispo County to Host Pediatric Town Hall
HELP US GROW: “Connecting Care from Pregnancy Through Early Childhood”
San Luis Obispo County, CA — First 5 San Luis Obispo County will welcome pediatric and maternal health providers, early childhood professionals, and community partners for a Pediatric Town Hall: HELP US GROW: Connecting Care from Pregnancy Through Early Childhood on Wednesday, April 29th in San Luis Obispo.
This professional development event has invited leaders across health care and family-serving systems to explore how stronger coordination—from prenatal care through early childhood—can support healthier families and improve long-term outcomes for children.
Presenters include:
- Diana E. Ramos, MD, MPH, MBA, FACOG, California Surgeon General (Virtual Presentation)
- René Bravo, MD, FAAP, President of the California Medical Association
- Melissa Ruiz, MD, MPH, FAAP, President of the American Academy of Pediatrics, California Chapter 2
A Community Voices Panel will share local perspectives and experiences across maternal, pediatric, and family support services, while interactive discussions will help identify opportunities for stronger collaboration and alignment among health care providers, early childhood organizations, and community partners.
The evening will also include dinner, a resource fair and time for connection and networking, giving participants the opportunity to build relationships, exchange ideas, and explore cross-sector partnerships that strengthen care systems for families.
