First 5 San Luis Obispo County is pleased to announce the release of the Early Childhood Stabilization Fund Request for Applications (RFA).
This funding opportunity is designed to help community organizations sustain essential programs, services, and supports for families with children prenatal to age 5 that have been reduced or eliminated due to recent funding losses or policy shifts.

Applications Due: December 5, 2025, by 5:00 PM
Anticipated Intent to Award: December 19, 2025
Anticipated Contract Start: February 1, 2026

Total Available: Up to $150,000
Grant Range: $5,000 to $50,000 per application
Funding Term: February 1 to June 30, 2026
Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, public agencies, schools, and school districts serving families with children prenatal to age 5 in San Luis Obispo County.

As guided by the Strategic Plan, First 5 SLO County oversees multi-year grants with local providers to build needed services and supports for young children and families. First 5 funding is primarily focused on the three Priority Areas that form the framework for the Strategic Plan:
