From our partners at SLOCOE: Digging into Earth Sciences and Transforming Outdoor Learning Experiences 4/30/2022An in-person opportunity for Early Childhood Educators and Early Childhood Teachers to learn how children's direct contact with the natural environment enhances their connection to nature. Earth Science strategies shared by the presenters will be built from the Preschool Learning Foundations. Immersed in the beautiful outdoor spaces of the SLO Botanical Children’s Garden, teachers will gain strategies to transform their current outdoor spaces, to create similar rich outdoor learning experiences for their students. Adopting children’s viewpoints of nature, attendees will have the opportunity to play/explore within and create a classroom resource to share with their students.
